JavaScript Course

The JavaScript Course teaches fundamental language coding skills by first translating events into Javascript. It progress to explore full scripting through fun games like Treasure Hunts, Random Insult Generators, and Flappy Bird clones. Grade Level: 6 - 12 Duration: 9-12 hours Quest Description: Learn the basics of JavaScript by building and programming games in 3D! You will begin with simple commands that control objects. And in a few lessons, you will be using variables, if statements, arrays, indexes and more! Some of the games you will make along the way are a space-blaster skeet shooter, a treasure hunt on a deserted island, an insult generator, and a clone of a very flappy animal! Aligned Standards: ISTE 1d Students understand the fundamental concepts of technology operations, demonstrate the ability to choose, use and troubleshoot current technologies and are able to transfer their knowledge to explore emerging technologies. ISTE 4a: Students know and use a deliberate design process for generating ideas, testing theories, creating innovative artifacts or solving authentic problems.
